Two exciting turf races will take place on Saturday, May 25: the $150,000 Arlington Classic Stakes (G3) and the $150,000 American Handicap (G3).
The Arlington Classic Stakes (G3) is a 1 1/16 mile turf race for 3-year-olds held at Arlington Park. Fordubai, from the barn of Greg Geier, is scheduled to make his second start in a graded stakes race - he previously finished runner-up in the Illinois Derby (G3) on April 20 at Hawthorne Park. Recent stakes winner Procurement will be making his graded stakes debut and is also a horse to watch.
The American Handicap (G3) is a one-mile turf race for 3-year-olds and up held at Hollywood Park. Indy Point, a 4-year-old Argentinian-bred, will be making his North American debut in this race; his previous outing was a grade-1 runner-up finish. Also probable is venerable 7-year-old Jeranimo, coming off a seventh-place finish in the Woodford Reserve Turf Classic Stakes (G1) at Churchill Downs on May 4.
